Beat Kidney Stones: Water Drinking Challenge

After passing or when passing a kidney stone, sufferers are advised to regularly drink a specific amount of water during every 24 hours. This simple act is very disruptive to work, living and sleep patterns. It is however a positive step sufferers are advised to take for the following months and years.

Sufferers have said many times that to have a family member or friend drinking water with them is extremely supportive and helpful.

Family members and friends are able to help their sufferer by accepting a Water Drinking Challenge. This Water Drinking Challenge is open to anyone who wishes to Match Glass for Glass of Water with their sufferer. The only requirement is for each family member or friend to ask their GP if they may take part. (A probable discussion around frequency and amounts of water to be drunk may take place)

The Water Drinking Challenge also provides the opportunity for your family member or friend to seek and obtain sponsorship for each day they Match Glass for Glass of Water with you.

Alternately you may decide to drink water instead of your normal drinks for a day or a week. Ask people to sponsor you for each day you are successful. Also ask your employer to sponsor you as well. Even if your employer says no it will still inform your employer about passing kidney stones.

All money raised through the Water Drinking Challenge will go to fund research into kidney stones.
