SUPPORT SERVICES

OUR SERVICES

Beat Kidney Stones created a group on Linkedin called Kidney Stone Research.
Membership is open to all Sufferers and Researchers.
This group is for Sufferers to contribute to solutions by advising the Charity on which research areas to support and for Researchers to advise the Charity on which areas they are thinking of researching.
This group is also for Sufferers to tell their kidney stone stories, discuss their own experiences and to ask questions.

Ease of mind for a Kidney Stone Sufferer?

Beat Kidney Stones realises that a Sufferer after passing a kidney stone and losing consciousness will be worried if and where they lose consciousness again.

To ease this worry Beat Kidney Stones would suggest to any Sufferer that they consider carrying a personal fall alarm.

One company called SureSafe supplies a personal fall alarm that warns either a SureSafe Response Centre or three of any family or friends if the wearer of that alarm falls down.

Both these alarms work in or outside the home.

These alarms give ease of mind to the wearer but because all falls are different it is impossible to calibrate each alarm to work for all types of fall. However the wearer can always manually activate the alarm after a fall by the press of a button.

To purchase the alarm that contacts the SureSafe Response Centre requires an ongoing monthly fee. To purchase the alarm that contacts up to three of any family or friends does not require a monthly fee.

The Charity Beat Kidney Stones will support any sufferer in purchasing either of these personal fall alarms.

If you have any questions then please contact Peter@beatkidneystones.co.uk or call the help line 01395 276672
Are You a Kidney Stone Sufferer

Beat Kidney Stones will supply a card notifying the reader that you have lost consciousness in the past due to passing a Kidney Stone.
The card will give your identification details and two emergency contact numbers.
